Bosch Error Codes Explained (300, 500, 800 Series)

Bosch fridges — especially inverter models — have complex electronics. We run precise diagnostics before touching anything.

Error E01 / E02 / E03 — Temperature Sensor Failure

The NTC temperature sensor in the fridge section (E01), freezer (E02), or drawer (E03) has failed. The unit may run off-temperature or cycle erratically. Sensor replacement solves it. Parts + labor: $180.

Error E10 / E11 — Control Module or Software Fault

Communication failure between the main control board and sensors. A full power-off reset (10 minutes unplugged) clears temporary glitches. If the code returns, the main board needs replacement.

Error E15 / E20 — Dispenser or Communication Error

Usually tied to the water dispenser supply or the signal path between the display and main board. Common on 800 Series French Door models.

Why we get it right the first time

The average tech eyeballs it → wrong diagnosis → orders the wrong part → comes back → you pay twice. Our analyzer shows the exact cause in 5 minutes: pressure, temperature, current draw. One part, one visit — no guessing.
