Low ice production, hollow cubes, or a freezer bin that will not refill usually starts with water flow, temperature, or an OEM ice maker assembly issue. We diagnose Sub-Zero built-in and column units with premium parts in mind. If we don't fix it, you don't pay.

A restricted filter can lower water pressure enough to make small, hollow, or missing cubes.
The ice maker may pause if the freezer is too warm. Tell us if food feels soft or the freezer temperature is above normal.
Make sure ICE is enabled on the control panel and the ice maker arm or switch has not been bumped off.
Sub-Zero refrigerator specialist · Orange
Sub-Zero ice makers are usually durable, but Orange County hard water and long filter intervals can reduce production before the module actually fails.
The common pattern is slow production first, then hollow cubes, wet cubes, or a frozen fill tube. We test water flow, valve operation, freezer temperature, and the ice maker assembly before ordering premium parts.
On Sub-Zero equipment, we avoid cheap generic modules. Fit and harvest reliability matter too much on a built-in unit.
Water flow, temperature, and module testing come first.
The valve may not open enough for a proper fill, or it may seep and freeze the fill tube.
If the ice maker does not sense the right harvest temperature, cubes stay in the mold or the cycle never starts.
Gears, mold coating, or the motor can wear over time. On Sub-Zero, replacement is usually done with an OEM assembly.
A slow seep or weak fill can freeze at the tube and block water from entering the mold.
