Inverter board / compressor driver
Thermador uses an inverter compressor — no start relay, just an electronic driver board. When it fails, the fridge won't start. Replacement requires ESD-grounding. Cost: $600–$1,200.
Not cooling / not freezing
One column warm, the other working fine. On Freedom Collection models each column is independent — symptom is always isolated to one unit. Diagnostic scan shows which circuit. Labor: $80–$120–$180.
Ice maker not working
Thermador uses a built-in ice maker module with a level sensor. Note: the Diamond Ice cycle (clear cubes) and the regular ice cycle are separate — if Diamond Ice fails, regular ice often still works. Valve, sensor, or motor. Labor: $80. Part: $60–$200.
