Er dH / F dH / r dH — Defrost Error
The most common LG error. The fridge can't defrost the evaporator — defrost heater or thermostat has failed. Over time the evaporator ices over completely and cooling stops. Caught early, this is a straightforward one-visit fix.
Er FF / Er CF / Er IF — Fan Error
Freezer fan (FF), fridge fan (CF), or ice maker fan (IF) failure. Often caused by ice buildup blocking the fan blades. Fan motor replacement or defrost correction resolves it. Parts are stocked.
Er FS / Er rS / Er SS — Sensor Error
A temperature sensor is sending incorrect readings to the board — the fridge may over-freeze or run warm. LG sensors are inexpensive parts. Most sensor replacements are quick, low-cost repairs.
Er IS / Er It — Ice Maker Error
Ice maker can't complete the test cycle or the motor won't rotate the tray. Often resolved with a forced defrost of the ice maker compartment. If not, the ice maker assembly is replaced.
