Samsung has a specific quirk: over time the rear of the drum sags slightly as the support rollers wear down, and the metal drum edge starts rubbing the felt seal. If you're seeing thin black streaks on clothes, that's your sign to call now, not next month.

Clothes are coming out with black streaks — is that the felt seal?
Almost certainly yes. As Samsung's felt drum seal wears down, the bare metal drum edge contacts the cabinet wall, and that friction leaves black marks — especially on light-colored items. The fix is a new felt seal plus a roller check so the drum sits level again. Don't keep running it; the marks get worse and the drum edge can score the cabinet.
Drum spins but thumps loudly — what is that?
Usually one roller has developed a flat spot from sitting under a heavy load, or a foreign object (coin, button) got into the drum housing. I check both in the same visit. If it's flat-spotted rollers, I replace the full set of four — they go at the same rate.
Can you just replace the belt without checking the idler arm?
On Samsung, not safely. The plastic idler arm is often what causes the belt to snap in the first place — installing a new belt on a seized idler arm means it snaps again within days. I always inspect the idler arm when replacing the belt and swap it if there's any wear.
