Can I clear the error code myself?
Unplugging the dryer for 5–10 minutes usually clears a stored code. But if it returns after the next cycle, it's not a glitch — it's a real hardware failure (burned element, failed thermistor, etc.). Clearing the code doesn't fix the underlying problem.
Samsung showing HE and not heating — do I need a new heating element?
Most likely yes. HE means Heating Error — the dryer tried to heat and failed. The element coil burns out, particularly when the exhaust duct has been clogged. We confirm with a multimeter reading of the element's continuity before quoting.
Display shows dE but the door is closed — what's wrong?
The door switch has failed. On Samsung, the switch and latch are often a combined assembly — the plastic latch can still click while the electrical contacts inside have failed. An inexpensive fix, done in about 15 minutes.
