Not heating

My Speed Queen works on some dial positions but not others
Classic Speed Queen timer-cam failure — a small plastic cam inside the mechanical timer wears or breaks after 10–12 years. At certain positions the timer doesn't complete the circuit. Timer replacement is a straightforward swap.

Should I just buy a new dryer?
